Pen-y-Dyffryn Blog September 2015
Pleased to be included in an article in The Telegraph this summer, nominating our hotel garden as one of the top five in the country. Congratulations to all who work in the garden, including my wife! We also recently received two awards from the Good Hotel Guide – the “Rooms with a View Award” and the “Walking Hotel Award”. Thank you to all the guests who nominated us. We were also chosen as one of Britain’s “Cosiest Places to Stay” in the Sunday Telegraph. Described by them as “a haven of peace in this crazy world” and “a timeless cossetting hotel”.
The sun keeps making guest appearances, and our residents are taking afternoon tea and scones (or something stronger) in the Summerhouse (see picture above). The National Trust gardens are in full glory – Powis Castle, Erdigg, Chirk Castle and Attingham Hall. The hills are beautiful for walking in at the moment, and the kitchen is working up its Autumn menus. We still have few rooms left on our special offers pages, so check out our best prices online.
