Summer House at Shropshire Hotel

Pen-y-Dyffryn Blog October 2015

Three hotel awards this week! Sawday’s Special Places have just given us their “Old Favourites Award 2016″, and The Good Hotel Guide have awarded us two awards – the “Rooms with a View Award 2106” and the “Walking Hotel Award 2016”. We were also nominated by the Telegraph this summer as one of the Top Five Hotel Gardens in the UK. We were also chosen as one of Britain’s Cosiest Places to Stay in the Sunday Telegraph this year. And Tripadvisor have given us their Certificate of Excellence and their very top award – the “Five Bubble” review -  “Still wonderful! and has been for years…”

Congratulations to all staff who work so hard to ensure we provide our guests with top quality service. And thank you to all the guests who nominated us.

We are having an Indian Summer at the moment, and our guests are taking afternoon tea and scones (or something stronger) in the Summerhouse (see picture above). The National Trust gardens are in full glory – Powis Castle, Erdigg, Chirk Castle and Attingham Hall. The hills are great for walking in at the moment, and the kitchen is serving up its Autumn menus. We still have few rooms left on our special offers pages, so check out our best prices online.
