Right on the Welsh border, in an unspoilt landscape of hills and forests, you will be welcomed to the hotel with complimentary tea and cakes round the log fire. Rooms are warm and welcoming with all the modern conveniences you would expect in a contemporary country house hotel. Some rooms have double Jacuzzis or spa baths, others have private patios. We can also arrange celebration packages in your room on arrival, including Champagne, flowers and chocolates.
All guests quoting “Spring Breaks” on making a reservation for two nights or longer will receive a complimentary half bottle of Champagne with dinner on their first night.
If you want to work up an appetite for dinner leave the car keys in your room and take one of our free local walking leaflets. Pen-y-Dyffryn is set in fabulous walking country – Offas Dyke footpath runs a mile or so from the hotel. Or take off to visit the medieval towns of Shrewsbury or Chester; both are about 30 minutes drive and both offer splendid architecture and wonderful retail therapy.
Dinner is central to the Pen-y-Dyffryn experience. We have two AA Food Rosettes, and our cooking style places great emphasis on local and often organic ingredients. Many of our wines are also organic. We want you to depart both happier and healthier in every way!
