Zip World Snowdonia

The fastest zip line in the world and longest in Europe. Travel through historic Penrhyn Quarry before flying over the beautiful quarry lake twice. First is the little zipper then onto Velocity on the big zipper, reaching speeds of up to 125mph. Spectators can relax in the Adventure Terminal or watch zippers soar above the viewing platform, so close you can almost reach out to them.

Bounce Below

This breath-taking underground trampolining site, in a abandoned slate mine in Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales. It lets you play, slide, jump and bounce from net to net in a cavern the size of a cathedral

White Water Rafting Wales

The National White Water Rafting Centre is located by Bala (50 minutes away) and offers a huge range of activities for all abilities. Includes sessions for people who have never been white water rafting or canoeing.

Climbing in Snowdonia

Needs no introduction. The Snowdonian Mountain Range (1 hour away) has plenty of challenging mountains and slabs for sport climbing and hikers alike. Includes the highest mountain in Wales – Mount Snowdon. Whether you want to hike up Snowdon on the famous ‘Pig Track’, take on the scrambling challenge of Crib Goch. Or just get the train to the top. Snowdonia has it covered all for all abilities!

Mountain Biking

There are many mountain biking trails in the area including Llandegla which is just past Llangollen (40mins from Pen-y-Dyffryn.) Whether you are a first timer or a regular Mountain Biker, the tracks at Llandegla are superb.

Mountain Bike Paradise, Coed-y-Brenin Forest, in Snowdonia is home to a network of fantastic hand-built, all-weather, single track routes which offer stunning mountain views of surrounding Snowdonia. Coed y Brenin was the first forest to be developed for the sport of mountain biking and retains its reputation as the sports premier location. A range of routes suitable for everyone from families and novices (Yr Afon) to rocky technical trails for expert riders.

Be sure to take in the breath-taking scenery, with views across to Cadair Idris, glaciated valleys, wild untamed rivers, an expanse of forest and all in the heart of Snowdonia National Park
